So Howard Stern sends a guy to Harlem to demonstrate the absolute ignorance of comprehension of issues among the black males they interviewed on the streets regarding where the candidate's stood on issues. To the point of saying "so if Obama wins you're ok with Palin being your VP" and letting them say "yeah". Point proven -
which is
lots of folks have no idea what the candidates stand far. Ok. I'd agree that you can go to south Louisiana in a rural blue collar area and get the same results if you do it right.
But that's not my point. The right wing radio wants to say "wow - do you realize that these black people are going to vote for Obama JUST because he's black? that's so wrong!"
to which I say
"Wow - did you know that these white people are going to vote for McCain, JUST because he's NOT the black one?"
You people kill me.
and for the record - Obama is more than "just the black one" and even for those that are going to vote for him solely b/c he is black
until you've grown in a country where you went from slavery to the piont of having a black presdient of the country within a few hundred years - I say you don't know how you'd vote - you don't know how you'd react
I'll end with this -
I voted for Hillary. Not Obama. I don't think Obama has enough experience. I also wouldn't vote for Palin. I wanted HIllary b/c she was the RIGHT woman - and I bet to many - Obama is the RIGHT black man for them. I also think - that a LOT of why I wanted Hillary - was b/c she was a woman and as a woman, I really wanted to see that in my life time. It was personal. I get it. I say - big deal - let them vote for him just b/c he's black. Again, I'm quite sure there are many whites that will vote for McCain simply because he's not.
